This section will cover what I consider my academic pursuits. Like reviews on books I've read, educational DVD's, languages I may be floundering with, that sort of stuff. In 2015 I finished my quest to read a biography of every president, except The Bushwhackers, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, for whom I think it's just too soon. Trump? Hmmm...
But it's not just history. Any book read will be noted. In June of 2019, I was challenged to post seven books I'd enjoyed, one a day for seven days, posted on Facebook. I've captured the results in the 7 Book Challenge. It's odd that of those seven, only one was history. Go figure.
I also enjoy educational DVD's. Some are good, others less so. If I don't like them, I don't finish them! Most have been worth my time. Like books, they're all posted in this section.
Anything that I might consider academic will be mentioned here. Given the pic for this page, I should probably read a bio of Einstein. Or I could change the picture to that of Leonardo DaVinci. I read Walter Isaacson's biography of him and it was most excellent. But then, he also wrote one on Einstein which is no doubt also good.
Anyway, this is what my brain has been doing over the last few years.

Note that in January, 2021, an annual archive of full years over a year prior to the current one was established in consolidated form. It goes back to 2015.
